# Windows Laptop or Tablet eSIM Setup Guide

# Here’s how to get your Windows device connected to Meaningful Planet – fast, secure, and plastic-free.
---

### 💡 What’s an eSIM?

An eSIM (short for “embedded SIM”) is a digital SIM card built directly into your device. Instead of inserting a physical SIM, you download your plan using a QR code or system prompt.

It’s secure (great if your device is ever lost or stolen) and waste-free – no packaging, no postage, no plastic.

### 🧩 Is your Windows device eSIM-ready?

To use an eSIM, your laptop or tablet must be:

* **Cellular enabled**

* Running **Windows 10 or 11**

* Connected to **Wi-Fi or mobile data** during setup
---

#### How to check:

1. Go to **Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular**

2. If you see a **Cellular** option – you're good to go

3. Under **SIM options**, make sure eSIM or SIM2 is selected

* * ---

2. Select **Meaningful Planet** as your provider

3. Log in and confirm your plan

4. Your eSIM will download automatically

If you don’t see the prompt:

1. Open the **Mobile Plans** app (search for it via Start)

2. Follow the same steps to connect and download

Once installed:

* Go to **Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular**

* Select your eSIM profile to activate your connection

### 🔄 Managing eSIM profiles

You can store multiple eSIM profiles, but only one can be active at a time.

To switch:

1. Go to **Settings > Network & Internet > Cellular**

2. Tap **Manage eSIM profiles**

3. Select the one you want to use

To remove:

1. Go to **Manage eSIM profiles**

2. Tap the profile you want to remove

3. Select **Delete**, then confirm

ℹ️ Deleting your eSIM does **not** cancel your plan – contact us if you need a replacement.

### 🛠 Troubleshooting tips

If your eSIM isn’t working after setup:

* Make sure your data plan is active

* Restart your device

* Check for **Windows Updates**

* Ensure you're in an area with good signal

* Contact us if you're unsure whether your eSIM has been activated

No cellular option in settings?

* Confirm your device is **cellular enabled**

* Update to the latest Windows version

* Some devices may need an external eSIM-compatible dongle
