How do I set up or change my SIM PIN?

Setting a SIM PIN adds an extra layer of security to your device. It ensures that if your phone is lost or stolen, your SIM cannot be used without the correct PIN.

What is the default SIM PIN for Meaningful Planet SIMs?

The default SIM PIN for all Meaningful Planet SIMs is 1111.

When you first insert and activate your SIM, you may be asked to enter this default PIN. If prompted, please enter 1111 to proceed.

How to Set or Change Your SIM

The steps vary slightly depending on the type of device you use. Below are simple guides for the most common platforms.

iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Mobile Data (or Mobile on some versions).
  3. Select SIM PIN.
  4. Toggle SIM PIN on.
  5. When prompted for the current PIN, enter 1111.
  6. Choose a new PIN and confirm it.

Android Devices

(Note: Menu names may vary slightly by manufacturer.)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Security & privacy or Biometrics & security.
  3. Select SIM card lock or Set up SIM card lock.
  4. Turn on Lock SIM card.
  5. When prompted for the current PIN, enter 1111.
  6. Choose and confirm your new PIN.

What if the default PIN doesn’t work?

If 1111 doesn’t unlock the SIM, it may have already been changed. After three incorrect attempts, your SIM will lock and require a PUK code.

If this happens:

  1. Do not continue guessing.
  2. Contact Meaningful Planet Support and we will provide your PUK code securely.
  3. Entering the PUK incorrectly too many times may permanently disable the SIM.

Can Meaningful Planet reset my SIM PIN?

We cannot reset the PIN directly, but we can provide your PUK code, which allows you to unlock the SIM and create a new PIN.
