How do users download eSIMs?

When you purchase an eSIM, the Business Account Holder will receive an email with the QR code needed to download it (please note that you'll receive a separate email for each eSIM purchased).


You can then forward the relevant email(s) to the appropriate colleague(s) to download their eSIM.


Alternatively, you can let users access their eSIMs directly by adding them as a user in MILO and assigning a SIM to them. They'll receive an email inviting them to create a Meaningful Planet account – where they'll be able to access the QR code to download their eSIM.


It's entirely up to you whether you prefer to forward the email(s) or direct users to their Meaningful Planet portals – but we find the latter works well when you're activating more than ten users at the same time. Either way, your Account Manager will be on hand to help coordinate this during onboarding.


One important thing to note: an eSIM QR code can only be used once – so users will need to make sure they scan their code with the device they intend to use the eSIM on.
