Why isn’t my SIM or eSIM working after my number transfer?

SIM or eSIM seems like it is not working after a number transfer? No need to worry.


If you’ve just had your number transferred across to us but find you can’t receive calls or texts — or can’t dial out — via your new eSIM don’t worry. This is usually quick to fix.

Step 1: Check if your old SIM is still in your phone


If you’ve kept your old SIM card in your phone alongside your new one, this can sometimes confuse your device and stop your new SIM or eSIM from working properly.


✅ Remove the old SIM card (or delete the old eSIM) for the number you transferred

✅ Restart your phone


In most cases, this will resolve the issue straight away.

Step 2: Still not working?
