Are you a non-profit?
Meaningful Planet is not a non-profit, and this is by design. This deliberate choice allows us to avoid conflicts of interest between investing in growth as opposed to supporting environmental projects. Being for-profit enables us to allocate 10% of bill revenue exclusively to green projects, so that it can never be diverted to spend on other areas. This means it is never competing for funding versus our marketing efforts, ensuring we can focus on both growth and maximising environmental impactSome readersDo you back projects outside the UK?
While our long-term goal is to support impactful projects worldwide, we're currently focusing our efforts on the UK. There's much to be done here, and we want to ensure we maximize our impact locally before expanding internationally.Few readersWhat sort of environmental, climate, and biodiversity projects do you support?
We support a variety of projects aimed at environmental restoration and conservation. Examples include rewilding efforts, reforestation projects, reintroduction of keystone species, cultivation of sea grass and kelp, oyster reintroduction, and peatland restoration; among may others. We select and vet projects with strict criteria to ensure they have high positive impact potential over the long-term.Few readersI'd like to suggest a green project or organisation for Meaningful Planet to support, how can I do this??
Absolutely! We welcome suggestions for green projects. Please email us at greenprojects@meaningfulplanet.co.uk with as much detail as possible. While we review and assess every suggestion, please understand that we have limited capacity to back projects each year.Few readers
