I’m having problems with iMessage after transferring my number

If you’re an Apple user and your iMessages don't seem to be working after transferring your previous number, it’s usually because you need to amend your settings.

Steps to resolve:
Check to see if your phone still has the other number available in iMessage
Open Settings.
Go to “Messages” and then “Send & Receive” under “iMessage”
Select your original number

Still not showing? Here’s what you need to try next:
Open Settings.
Go to “Phone” and then “My number”.
Manually change the number in this field.
Turn your phone on and off again to reboot the settings.
